The Indian Coast Guard has announced the recruitment for the 02/2025 batch, inviting applications for 300 positions across two categories: Navik (General Duty) and Navik (Domestic Branch).

  • Navik (General Duty): 260
  • Navik (Domestic Branch): 40

• Eligibility Criteria:

  • Navik (General Duty):
    • Educational Qualification: 10+2 passed with Mathematics and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Navik (Domestic Branch):
    • Educational Qualification: Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by COBSE.

• Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 22 years
  • Candidates should be born between 01/09/2003 and 31/08/2007 (both dates inclusive).
  • Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates.

• Application Dates:

  • Start Date: 11th February 2025
  • End Date: 25th February 2025

• Application Fee:

  • General/OBC/EWS candidates: ₹300
  • SC/ST candidates: No fee
  • Payment Mode: Online

• Selection Process:

  1. Stage I: Written Examination
     • Objective-type questions
     • No negative marking
     • For Navik (GD): Section I
     • For Navik (DB): Sections I and II
  2. Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
     • 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes
     • 20 squat-ups (Uthak Baithak)
     • 10 push-ups
     • Minimum height: 157 cm
  3. Stage III: Medical Examination
  4. Stage IV: Document Verification

• Pay and Benefits:

  • Basic Pay: ₹21,700 (Pay Level-3)
  • Additional allowances based on the nature of duty and place of posting
